Did buying things through installment payment more affordable than cash?We sometimes have not enough money to buy things in cash and there's a lot of them offer installment but with interest rate. Yould you grab it or just wait for you have enough cash to buy.

We decided a few years back that if we don't have the $ to buy something we want we wait until we do. We got ourselves in some pretty serious debt and when we got out of it, we made that decision. It just doesn't seem worth it...at least for us.

Your right it's very hard, to think of debt when you have to earn the money to pay it. Thanks

When you have to earn the $$ for something, it makes you think twice if you really need it or if you just want it, and sometimes it changes the priority.

No, all our consumer goods have been purchased outright by paying cash and we availed the cash discount of 2% besides the normal discount.

Yes, I had stuff on installment basis because usually they have the 90-day same as cash..and when the 90 days is up, there are always other bills to pay. But as much as possible, we buy things in cash because it is way much cheaper that way.
