afraid to die alone?

more and more people are going single longer today, and it got me thinking that more people will opt to stay unmarried until they grow old. if that's so, is the prospect of growing old alone scaring some single people? i know some people who are desperate to get married. for some, staying single for so long loses its attractiveness once you get tired of eating dinner by yourself or staring at your cats, or once you find yourself talking to no one but your cats...funny but sad at the same time. and scary too.

I am one of those single (divorced) women that will die alone as I have no thought of getting remarried again at this time. We were born alone and we die alone.
