Small Update and Selling Ad Space...

Ok, still not totally forsure where or when I will be moving but is looking like will be taking an apartment about 5 miles from where I live now. I'm still not happy but accepting what is happening in my life and making the most of it. As I've told some of my friends here I spend Monday digging up flowers, herbs, and bushes that I brought here with me - some I've had for over 15 years and already told the landlord I was not going to leave them here. Doing some packing, weeding out, and still hoping to have a yard sale but may not be for another week. That all said I'm guessing what's the deal with 'Selling Ad Space'. This is something I had thought of in the past but as with many other things it got put on the back burner so to speak. Well, doing a little happy dance here, I've been contacted by a business interested in purchasing ad space on my web site. They had their ad, a small text ad, already written and 2 particular pages on the site they wanted the ads placed... Today with a few emails back and forth we worked out the details and I just got notification from PayPal that they have paid - $60 for 2 text ads for 1 year. Easiest $60 I've ever made in my life - 5 minutes to stick the ads on the pages. I LOVE IT! Now, my question(s) Has anyone else every sold ad space? - details please Have you purchased ad space? - details please Everyone else - are you happy for me? Hey if I did this 10 times I would have my rent for the month :)

LOL thank you dear I was so excited when I got notification from PayPal I just had to share my excitment and didn't even really think about what I put on the discussion... Very simply they paid me $60 for a paragraphy of text on my web site www.byfaithonly.com All I have to do is leave it there for a year then they can pay me more or I remove the text.

I'm glad you're digging up your precious foliage; you worked hard in getting them to where they are today. I pray your move goes well even though you're not looking forward to it and I can understand completely. When I have enough monies to create my own (real, not free, website - I don't think the sites that give out free ones will let us sell space) I will have to get in touch with you and pick-your-brain. Congrats on selling some space.

Am I happy for you? You bet, that is great news. Always something new to learn and understand when it comes to the Internet and websites. Bravo, it is also a vote of confidence for your website. Keep up the good work. (Always wash your hands when transitioning from dirt to keyboard) Pray and keep the faith. See how God mixes in blessing amongst the trials. djbtol

A new move in the horizon and extra money in one day, what a great day for you. I know the move is hard on you and you are not looking forward to it, but hopefully everything will turn out okay for you. I wish you the best in your new house, I know you will make a beautiful home for you and your son. Have a blessed day.

That is fantastic! I wish I could make my own website that I could do this kind of stuff on. I don't know anything about web design or anything like that. If my husband leaves me as he has said he is going to, then I will have to find some way to earn more money online as I will need all the extra money that I can. I will not be able to make ends meet if I am alone. My house payment alone is over $800 per month.

OH that is so sad that your husband may leave. I don't know if you have children or are alone but I've been there. I got divorced nearly 16 years ago. It's been very difficult such as right now but I take joy in the simple things and celebrate the small accomplishments such as this. As for web site - 10 years ago I knew nothing at all about computers, the internet, or web design. I started with a free site at geocities.com and just built from there. Now I own my a domain and do all the graphics, design, and all for the site.

Well, not 'all the good things' just one but I am Praising the Lord for the small things right now.

Hi Faith! I haven't bought or sold Adspace but I sure am glad things have worked out for you. I have a blog and a wetpaint website that I got for free but I have still got to do work on both of them. It is not easy when I work full time as a medical transcriptionist also. I do all these other little things in between typing reports, Ha! Ha! I would like to learn more about it though. Have a great day! SheliaLee
