1. I was able to get subtitles in to movies - i am using vlc media player - what media
player also plays all the major formats BUT where the subtitle menu is; where can i
change the color of the subtitles. Like a red background but green text. OR green
background with blue text. something like that?
2.I also have a video card right now where i have to play the movie on computer but it
displays it on tv also that means I can not surf the net while watching movie. So I am
thinking about getting a Standalone dvd recorder that way it can be hooked up ONLY to
the tv and we can still surf. Anyway about subtitles I know how to download them and
upload them into the media player to have it in sync with the movie displayed on the
screen. But when i do get the dvd recorder is there a way that i can embed the subtitle file
in to the movie file extension somehow and be able to watch the movies before I burn to
disc but watch in dvd recorder and then when i go and play the movie the subtitles will
already be in there just as if i uploaded them to the media player?

Question #1
- try to used last versions 0.8.6a or above (current version 0.8.6b).
- play your movie using VLC then just drag your subtitle on VLC
- other option is using BSPlayer movie filename must be the same with your subtitile filename but different extention (movie *.avi and subtitle *.srt)
Question #2
- There are many portable HDD Media Player (support divx, xvid, mp4 mpeg etc) on the net go get one. search on the net key= HDD Media Player
