Do you collect ephemera and other things?

I've been collecting ephemera, found objects, mixed paper, scraps and other things people would typically throw away or ignore for my art projects since 2003. I've obtained these items from swap groups, my community and my household and this collection seems to grow weekly.
Do you collect these things for your art projects? How do you keep them organized (if they are, in fact, organized)? Do you constantly seek out new things for your collection? What sort of projects do you use your collections for?
