Milwaukee Policeman Is an Illegal Alien!

Good morning ParaTed, Ya' know, this is a very interesting question in light of recent affairs in New Mexico. The Santa Fe Municipal Police Department announced a couple of weeks ago that they are considering hiring Mexican immigrants to reach their quota. Now, they say that they will only hire immigrants who've come here legally, but can they really be sure? We have a shocking number of Mexican Nationals living in NM with forged documents. The forged documents 'thing' is no big secret here (here - meaning a border state). Just last year, a ring of Dept. of Motor Vehicles employees were busted for charging $1500.00 per license to provide undocumented aliens with NM Drivers licenses. The news accounts of the court testimony identified the numbers of illegal licenses into the thousands. And, according to what I've been told by someone who did it; getting a high quality birth certificate, SSN, and passport are surprisingly easy to obtain. So, you present a very valid question. How can any employer be expected to differentiate between forged doc's and the real mccoy? Suffice it to say, there is a huge fury here over the Santa Fe announcement. It'll be interesting to hear the result.

The Milwaukee P.D. has got to be incompetent. With all the background checks that one must go through to be a police officer, for an illegial alien to slip through, what next a murderer? Everyone says that the illegial aliens are coming over for the jobs that the americans won't do. So are you telling me that the Milwaukee P.D. had a Mexican because there were no americans to fill the position, or was it that the police budget was so strapped for cash that they had to pay this guy pennies on the dollar like the farms do.

How is it that Milwaukee doesn't do background checks before hiring cops? That is the basic thing to do when the application is filled out. I wonder how many others are not doing BC's either before hiring.
