Does your spouse critisize you?

I just read a very sad story in Ladies Home Journal about a woman whose otherwise wonderful husband began to suddenly critisize her on everything. And, it left me wondering how I would handle the situation. I'm still stumped. It's not an issue I've ever faced. And, honestly, I'm scared. People change for all reasons. And, I guess sometimes you can't stop them from becoming different people, than the ones you fell in love with. Do you have any advice on how you would handle a spouse or partner that suddenly began acting different or being over critical about everything.
