I love taboli. I really prefer to go eat it out, but hey, its so much cheaper to make it!
And its so yummy.
I first discovered taboli when I was trying to find stuff to make with amaranth, a new world grain. I learned that I had problems with amaranth, but I also discoved that I just loved taboli.
Bulgar wheat, tomatos, mint, parsley, olive oil, lemon juice and water plus lots of spices I'm sure, we get our base out of a box that says add water, oil & tomatos. My favorite resturant also adds raisins.

I have had taboli many times and I like it. One of my friends makes it often enough so that I do not have to make it myself. However, I have never had it with raisins. I will have to mention that to my friend and see if she has heard of taboli with raisins. Also, I did not know that you could buy the base in a box. My friend makes hers from fresh ingredients.

I have lots of Lebanese friends so I have been eating tabouli (that's the way I spell it anyway) for a while now. I prefer it to "normal" salad in doner kebabs as well.

That's awesome that you make taboli. My mom makes it. I don't know if I like the adding raisins part, but to each his own. Good eats!
