Why am I so misunderstood - or, welcome to Ozark mentality

I must be so poorly spoken, people often misunderstand me! take for instance calling around to get quotes on having 2 of our dogs spayed...... (my parents had recently had their dog of the same breed spayed and told me about the cost for laser surgery - and that the animal spent the night at the vets - no additional charge etc) hello? Hi, I am calling for information regarding spaying.... yes? What is the fee? $65 do you do laser surgery? No! is an overnight stay involved or is it same day surgery? LADY!!!! This is a veterinarian office, we only work on animals! not people! *thunk* *GASP* SIR!!! I am a Catholic, the thought of it being for me never would have crossed my mind! *click* heavy sigh
