This poor elephant doesn't have enough food to eat.
When he gets hungry he beats his keeper with the keepers cane. He holds it in his trunk to do this.
This happening in a Pakistan zoo.
"The zoo was hoping philanthropists and schools would "adopt" Suzi and pay for its food, the paper said today.
"We don't have enough funds to feed Suzi and its expenses are more than our budget," said zoo director Yousuf Pal."

I hope that some other zoo will adopt Suzi as I have the feeling the zoo where she is at is so poor it cannot feed her any money they got would not go to Suzi' food or wellbeing.

if they cant afford to feed Suzi then why dont they try and find another home for her? well i guess they will try that if they dont get somebody or organization to "adopt" her.
i hate to say it, but its kind of funny, i can totally picture the keeper running away with hands over head and the elephant wielding the stick behind him with the thought bubble of "Feed Me Seymor!"
lol!! ok ok, that is not funny, the keeper could really get hurt!

It would be sdad if the local community lost the elephant, as it would be good for the children to see. But if they can't feed it properly, they must put the animals needs first.

why wernt they charging a special admissions as a fund raiser and letting that go to her feed bill. There are so many ways they could raise the money...they should contact the animal rights association and they would be able to advise them...
seems to me that they should have thought about this and put in the paper long before the elephant got hungry...?

let's hope someone does adopt her and give money towards her food bill. Someone should start a charity appeal for the zoo, it doesn't even say what it's called in the article just gives the city. It must be hard being the animals keeper, especially when the elephant beats them.
