Drawing with touchpad!? :s

I have always liked to create animations. And got hold of a really good software. With the help of my desktop PC, I made few ones. But now my PC being crashed, I'm using this laptop for sometime. It's easy to get that software again (I saved it in a cd) but before loading it, I want to know: Is drawing images with the help of touchpad that easy? So far I have tried it and get a negative response within myself. Please help me:)

Instead of using the touch pad, invest some money into a good drawing tablet. They are worth the money you put out for them (around $200)

All you are going to do with a mouse or touch pad is waste your time. You can get cheaper drawing tablets - $100. I picked up a decent one for $120 for a college course.
