Have you ever counted your split ends?

I have always had long hair. Right now I say my hair is short but others would disagree with me. My hair is about shoulder length. That is short right? When I was younger I use to count my split ends all the time. I seem to hold a record for split ends compared to my friends. I can't remember my highest count on one hair for sure; but I want to say 12. But lets say it was 9 for good messure. If you count how many split ends you have had on one hair how many were there?

oh good gravy I haven't the ability to count so high as to count ALL my split ends - nor the time. I am sure they number in the thousands. I have very thick hair and it is quite long as well. I think we will just keep the number of split ends a mystery for God to know :)

Okay has I mentioned in an above comment maybe you would be the winner in a new World Guinness Record holder for the most split hairs in one hair! LOL Every other silly thing is in that book why not the most split ends in one hair. Can't you see it now. You could hold the record. I am just too silly today for words. Thanks for commenting!

I never counted my split ends, but i know that i have some. I have long hair too as you can see my my avatar which is my real pic.

Well you should try counting them. You will be surpriced at how amusing it is. LOL Nice picture too!

I usually don't unless I have a lot and I can't believe my eyes. I counted one time and when I reached the final number I couldn't believe it. I had 15 splits on a single hair shaft. I usually cut out the split pieces whenever I get bored and see them, especially the really bad ones.

Wow 15 that is amazing! I wonder if I had that many and didn't know. Oh you know what I see coming down the pipeline. The Worlds Guinnes Book of Records for the most split ends in one hair. What do you think?

My hair is pretty long, so when I get bored, I have a tendency to go through my hair to look for split ends. When I go looking for split ends and find a strand of hair that has a lot of splits on it, I tend to count because I'm amazed at how many splits I find. I think my highest has been at 15 splits. However, I'm not really sure if it was actually a bit less than that. Cause I've found a few with pretty high counts.

I always considered shoulder length to be short. I used to wear my hair long when I was in highschool,actually from grades 7 to 12. I started getting it cut after that. I am sure I had split ends, but gosh I don't think I ever counted them . I have really fine hair so it didn't take long before I did have split ends though. Back then I couldn't afford to get my hair cut as often as I do now.

I keep wondering if I will cut my hair any shorter then it is now. I still like a pony tail once in a while; so shoulder length will have to be the shortest for awhile.
