Government Help for Illegals!

Proposed ID Card for Illegals - More Pampering!

Once again I am amazed. This new plan is to help protect the poor illegals from getting robbed because they carry large amounts of cash with them. Yeah Right. Illegally gotten money that legal citizens could have earned and deposited in the bank. To me this law is "aiding and abetting" a crime by helping a criminal to "fence" his illegally gotten cash. What do you think? City OKs ID cards for illegal immigrants NEW HAVEN, Conn. - City officials approved a plan Monday to offer illegal immigrants identification cards that would let them open bank accounts and use other services that may be unavailable without driver's licenses or state-issued IDs. Supporters say the program, approved by the Board of Aldermen and believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, will help safeguard the city's estimated 15,000 illegal immigrants. If they can open bank accounts, immigrants will be less likely to carry large amounts of cash, a practice that makes them easy targets for robbers. New Haven, a city of about 125,000 and home to Yale University, already offers federal tax help to immigrants and prohibits police from asking about their immigration status."It was really a vote that reflected our values as a community here in New Haven, values of hard work, values of acceptance, and values that we get tough things done when we work together," Mayor John DeStefano said Tuesday. Ask Carlos mencia just how dumb do you think an illegal taco bell is, after all this work and saving he is going to stick his money in a bank where the funds can be frozen or confiscated. Technically he has no rights, no matter what some city government says.

Your right, no rights should be his rights just like the rights the rest of us rightly don't have.

Wasn't there a big flak just a couple of months ago about Bank of America allowing credit and mortgages to illegals until everyone started an uproar and they backed down? If I got the bank wrong...I apologize...I hope all of the illegals move there! LOL

My thoughts on this are that these people have no rights here since they are here illegally. Why should any city or state strat giving them rights? Turn them in a send them back to where they came from. I think that illegals are part of the problem any more.

Sometimes I wonder if they have more rights than the legals and the citizens.

Isn't it marvelous how we can protect them and destroy ourselves?...My main question would be why are illegals carrying large amounts of cash and why do they not take steps to protect themselves just like the rest of us have to do? I may be pushing the envelope here, I mean really illegals do something for themselves, what a droll idea.

I don't know about the illegals in Conn, but around here they are in the post office buying money orders to send back home. What pi33es me off is that the day laborers get paid cash -no taxes taken out- & they send most of that tax free money out of the country. There's more US money in Mexico any more than there is here. (I know, it's an exaggeration.) As someone else stated, maybe it is a way for the bank to freeze the accounts, but who would tell the bank to do so? The law can't even find out if they're illegal or not, which with this Patriot Act & Homeland Security supposedly keeping us safe, how are we safe when the law isn't allowed to find out who is dangerous? That is before it's to late.

I know what you're saying about the money orders back to Mexico Myoan. I waited tables for many years and one of the places I worked at was owned by Albanian immigrants, they werea great family and very good to me. But we had a busboy there, he was illegal from Mexico and maybe 16 years old. the restaurant owner paid for the Mexican employees (they all lived together) apartment, utilities, and they ate at work for free. Plus he paid the busboy in particualr $5 an hour to work 11 hours a day, 7 days a week, plus the kid got 10% of all our tips. Don't get me wrong, he was a great worker, he earned that money. One day he showed me a picture of his moms house in Mexico. This busboys wages afforded his mom a beautiful villa by the ocean, ceramic tile floors and everything. It was so frustrating to me!

Let them issue their little "ID Cards". All it will do is make it easier to round illegal immigrants up and deport them later. New Haven is "NO HAVEN" as the arrests on June 6 proved - http://www.yaledailynews.com/articles/view/21076 ICE went in and busted 29 illegal immigrants that day and they will be back for more later. Any city or town that thinks they can get away with violating the law and aiding and abetting criminals will find that they are just making it easier for the government to FIND and arrest those criminals.
