We have had TimeWarner cable tv for years. Now that per an agreement between TimeWarner and Comcast we will soon have Comcast. They are switching markets. So if you have Comcast do you like it? How is the service, Expensive? Down time? Comcast should go live here in the next couple of weeks. Right now TW is still trying to get people to sign up for service even though they will no longer be the carrier. Also ATT is pushing hard to get people to sign up for its tv service. Ny comments?

I used to have Comcast, but the prices became too high. That, combined with the fact that AT&T is our phone provider and DISH Network is partnered with them to provide service, made us make the change. I didn't like the high prices when I could get the same channels for less on DISH. There is nothing wrong with the service, but I like the convenience of having all our services (phone, internet, cable) on one bill. There is nothing wrong with Comcast IMO. In fact, if you are looking for Hi-Def programming, you would be better off with Comcast as opposed to others, cause they provide a lot more hi-def options.

Good points. I have learned that prices vary according to the local market. We already have phone and DSL with ATT. I am just a little afraid of changing some things cause lately ATT and TW are both pushing their bundles to get new customers. That,to me, begs the question of why TW is still trying to sign up people for 3-6 months knowing they will not be actually serving the customers. Sigh. I do hope that somewhere down the line someone will bundle what I want at a good price without it being a short term promotion. I don't want to be unhappy with something and then have to switch back and forth.

I have had comcast cable on the east coast before and it was very comparable to Time Warner that you have now. Had no significant problems, other than it was too high a price to pay for the service, but isn't most cable television, the internet service was good though, much better than the AT&T service that I currently subscribe to, there is no down time due to the fact that it is cable internet service, you should be pleased with it if you are pleased with Time Warner.

Well that is encouraging. We dont have digital or hd tv so we dont have all those 100/200 channels. I sometimes think about going digital but reading all the fine print I see it is more expensive that they lead you to believe. I have DSL with AT&T. I recently switched to the fastest speed they have. The speed is good but we have had more problems with connections speed variances and frequent loss of phone service over here than we ever did in the two other places we have lived in since moving to Houston.
