New hope for anemia sufferers

I was just reading an article in Good housekeeping magazine how citrus fruits contain Vitamin C which can help the body absorb more iron.
Lack of sufficient iron can lead to anemia, which can cause you to feel listless and weak. This can happen during times of extreme blood loss, pregnancy, and even nursing.
During my pregnancy, I suffered from severe anemia and wish I'd had this information. But, I'm glad I know it now.
I wanted to pass along this tip to anyone that might need it.
Hope it helps.

I already knew that, because I have chronic anemia since I was twelve. There's nothing to do about it, but eat well. Someday it may change, and go away as it came, at least that's what the doctors say.
Buy if you need tips on food good for iron and anemia, I can tell you a lot about it!

That's what my doctor said too. Vitamin C & iron are needed to bring your levels back to a more normal level. While an iron pill tastes better than liver, it can cause some unpleasant after effects. I can't take them during the summer as I tend to get overly warm and that can be dangerous. There are other sources of iron that are more pleasant to eat like beans (legumes).
