Are you cautious or do you take chances?

Would you jump out of a plane? Off a cliff? Swim with sharks? Drive a race-car? Or is reading, gardening and driving the speed limit more your speed? I'm a really cautious person. I used to be very devil-may-care but as I got a few years older, I felt I had a lot more to lose. I think it drives my boyfriend crazy, because he'd like nothing better than to dive with sharks and jump out of planes for the rest of his life.

I think I have taken a lot of chances in my life. Like today, a ball went over a fence, but part of the fence was broken. I wasn't sure if I should go get it because there could be thorns. I wasn't worried about poison ivy since I'm not allergic to it. So when I jumped down, everything was alright, and there was a way to get back up. End of story.

I used to be a dare devil. I went skydiving about 4 years ago and loved it. But since having my daughter I have become much more cautious. I couldn't imagine doing something crazy and leaving her without a mother. But if when she's 18 or older and wants to go skydiving then I will go with her (if I still have the urge lol).

I take chances, but only within reason. I am not so cautious that I can't have fun, but I am not stupid in my risks either. In February, for example, I woke up early, got in an airport bound limo-type vehicle (it was a van, but from a limo company) and headed to the Toronto airport, where I would catch a flight to Phoenix, later that day. I didn't tell anyone in Canada that I was going. The only one who knew was the person whom I would meet there. When I arrived in Sedona, our last stop after Phoenix, I phoned home to tell them where I'd gone. The trip was well planned, but I didn't want to tell anyone I was going, because I wanted to do things MY WALY!

I used to be a risk taker, but once I had my kids I toned dow, I used to love to hang out with my friends and do alot of crazy things that my mom and the authorities wouldn't aprove of...lol..But since having the responsability of being a mother, I can't imagine risking anything that would leave me without my kids.
