Do You Give Advice To Your Friends?

Are you the kind of person who can give advice to friends and family? Do people ask you for your advice and do they appreciate it?
For me, people do sometimes ask my advice and when I do give some, they often thank me later. Sometimes I have to be "carefully truthful" so as to give good advice without offending anyone. How about you?

Yes I have lots of friends and they often consult me to ask for an advice if they have problems specially in lovelife. They feel like I already knew many things when it comes to love life(lol) that's why feel glad that they always appreciate my advice.I dont think I'm a good advicer but often times when they learn on me I just share them the lessons I get from my past and tell them the consequences it gives.It's really hard to give advice specially if the person is in deap pain.Sometimes I prefer to just comfort them and try to listen from their cries.When I knew they bit ok now thats the time I give my advice.:)

That's very good that you use your own experiences to advise people. That's what I do too. I'm glad also to hear that you've learned from you own experiences and therefore, share your knowledge with your friends. Thanks for sharing.

I only give advice to my friends and family if they ask for it. Most of the time though, especially in emotional matters, I've only got one piece of advice and that is to think for yourself and not take too much notice of the well-meaning advice - we have to work some things out for ourselves.

Indeed, dered_a, a lot of the times "well-meaning" advice isn't the best, is it? When I do give advice, I alway say "I suggest...." and that way, they don't feel like I'm telling them what to do. Thanks for sharing.

they do ask me. but it's up to them if they're going to follow my advise. anyway it's just an advise, they are still the one to decide and follow their heart.

yes i love to give advices to all my frends but i don't know that if they accept it or not but i try to solve their problems to my level best.......... and i feel satishfied after i have given them advice..
