Spoof sci-fi?

One of my favorite sci-fi spoof movies is "What planet are you from?" Sure there are aliens but they all look human. And, they act human too. I'm not sure what makes it a sci-fi film, except for the idea that some of the characters are from another planet. I guess it's more of a comedy/romance, that's why I call it a spoof film.
So, what are your favorite spoof films?

I'm not a big fan of spoof movies, but the first one that came to my mind was "Spaceballs" and "Galaxy Quest". I actually liked the latter better. I also remember Airplane, which I thought was funny when it first came out. I was a kid back then and didn't get all the jokes. But, now I do and some of them are even funnier.

We rented Galaxy Quest a couple weeks back. It's hilarious. I just don't know how they got so many famous people in one movie.

Get out of town! I loved the Coneheads. They were my first favorite spoof sci-fi. I wish I could get the unedited version, cause USA cuts out all the funny stuff. And, it's got everyone famous too, from Dan Ackroyd and Jane Curtain to David Spade. Very funny stuff. Will have to rent that one again. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

My favorite spoof of Sci-fi is actually not a movie-- but a TV Series. It is called Hyperdrive and is aired on the BBC.
It's premise is that of a British trading ship protecting the economic interests of the UK in a changing galaxy. I have not laughed so hard at so many sci-fi cliche's mixed with original jokes in my life.
As far as films, I would have to go with some of Mel Brooks early work. Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, History of the World Part I, in particular, High Anxiety was great as well..
His last few films, were more than disappointing.
