is dsl obsolete? and broadband is the in now?

we have a dsl connection in our internet access but it seems very slow,
is dsl obsolete?
there is no broadband available yet, and they say it is more expensive than dsl.
how about you? do you use broadband now?is it more quick than dsl? tell me your experience.

DSL may be obsolete, but my internet bill has not realized that yet. I pay $22.94 a month for DSL and my anti-virus. I feel that if Broadband is better then my bill should be going down at some point. Instead, it seems to be going up.
