Question About Cops

I'm always worried I'll be pulled over for speeding! I know that'll be the worst day of my life lol! So I always try my best to go the speed limit. But sometimes I get these real jerks behind me and they will tailgait me so bad that I speed up because I'm scared they'll hit me. I don't care who's fault it is I don't want to be part of any kind of road rage.
I never go WAY over the speed limit but I still worry. The person will still tailgate me even when I go a little over the speed limit! It makes me nervous, especially when it happens at night!
My question is, does anyone know if a cop will take into consideration that I was being tailgated if they pull me over for speeding, OR will they pull someone over they see tailgating another drivers. Cops or people with police knowledge please answer!

I'm sure that they will just tell you to move out of the person who was tailgating you's way. And sometimes they will cut you a break! lol

That's good! I would be so happy if the first time I got pulled over the cop gave me a break! lol. It would def. help me out from stressing out! lol.
