If you could make time stand still...

When my daughter was 18 months old, it seemed like it would take forever for her to learn to talk and walk properly. But, the year flew by and before long she could do all the things I had only wished for. Then when last Christmas when she was having trouble speaking I wondered if her vocabulary would ever improve. But, now seven months later, she knows her ABC's, basic numbers, and even how to spell her own name. Funny how kids develop so quickly. I'm just afraid that I'll blink and she'll suddenly be 18 years old, asking me for the keys to my car. Well, maybe they don't grow up that fast. Today I was thinking that it would be so perfect if I could just stop time for a couple years and keep her as my little girl forever. She wouldn't need to grow up or go out into the world. Or, experience any of the hardships that life has to offer. What about you? Did you ever long to keep your kids the same age? Did it feel like they grew up too fast? If you could freeze time so that your children stayed young forever, at what age would it be? Would you like them to be little infants forever, so that you could care for them? Or, maybe ten years old? Or, early teens? What age did you enjoy most and would love to repeat?

Time really flies fast. Or is it the other way around: we flies fast time stays! Sometimes only the memories remains of the past. We could not really do anything againts time. Nobody could stop it. We all human are going into the destiny called TIME. I understand how you feel. Parents di not really own their children because sooner or leter they will grow up and flies on their own.

This question really brings a smile to my face because me and my daughter are really close so its hard for me now because shes only 4 but she is getting to the age where she seems to be fine when im not around :( You know we give them the tools to teach them how to get through life but when they start using them its a sad reality that your not needed as much anymore. If I could make time stand still I would of made time stand still when she was 5 months old because she was sleeping threw the night but but she didnt talk back or walk away from me when she didnt get her way LOL! She was my innocent little baby who needed me all the way...I guess im just being selfish...I know..I know I will get over it (someday)
