In the 80's, the worldwide ministry of Herbert W. Armstrong reached almost a billion people in potential coverage. From prints (brochures, magazines) to media broadcast to humanitarian projects, he was known as an unofficial ambassador of peace. Leading the Worldwide Church of God, he founded also the Ambassador College, with at least three campuses known for their magnificent beauty. In 1986, he died at the age of 92. Soon after, the new leadership of the church he left behind started to modify most of the basic doctrines he help established. And today, WCG is not the same as that of the 80's. Groups loyal to the original doctrines left the church in droves. Is there anyone here who remember HWA? Is there anyone here who was able to receive a copy of the Plain Truth magazine?
