If you misplace/lose something, do you automatically think someone stole it?

No, I know that one of my step children has taken something to use, & not returned it. They always do this. I never assume something has been stolen. I find it really annoying when I am looking for an item they are taken to use, & then misplaced.

When i forget where i placed something, i try to repeat every actions that i have done before placing it. At times it works and other time it take days before all of a sudden i remember where i had put it.
