How does your spouse or better half "Complete" you

I had to learn after much thearpy that it is actually much more healthy for a relationship if both partners are whole on their own. My boyfriend doesn't complete me but he compliments who I am as a person.

My better half is a lot more social than I am, and a lot more active. When I am with him and a group of friends I can relax and partake in the discussions as much as I feel like, because I know that he will entertain them for the both of us.
