I don't like it when people say "like" at the end of sentences which is common in Ireland. I hate it when people call you "man" (unless they really are Jamaican) or dude. What are your pet hates?

Random capatalisation and people who glibly say, whose truth? Or other such presumptions of relatavism. All the best urban

I have never heard "whose truth" before..OMG, its better than Oh my God isn't it? I also hate people saying multiple "bye" at the end of a call...drives me mad!

LOL I love saying "man"! Oh boy! I one of the phrases I hate is "Oh my God!" because it takes God's name in vain. But it's everywhere and everyone says it so I think I'm fairly used to it. Others are when people refer to pregnant women as "preggers" or "prego" (EUGH) or like you mentioned, when people excessively speak using the word "like". That little word makes people sound so dense when they say it more than 2 times in one sentence. I avoid it like the plague. Hah!

I try hard not to say "Oh my G*d" or "Jesus" etc, the odd time it slips out though. I agree, the "like" word makes you sound completely dense...

I simply just say "Oh my" or sometimes I say "Oh man". It is hard, Spanish was my first language and sometimes I find myself saying "omg" in Spanish! It's horribly how sticky that phrase is.

My big one is the F word, I also do not like it what some one calls me and asks me "Whats up" I say I do not know you called me. I also do not like to be called "dude or dude whats up" The worst is when I am mad at my husband and yelling at him he says "What ever" Then I am really mad.
