why is it that we dont care for our planet earth??why do we pollute our earth when we know that its gonna harm us in the end??why??

I think a lot of people just don't care and want to live their lives with no regard to the planet. I think some figure it isn't going to get that bad or won't get that bad in their lifetime. As a Christian I believe we need to take care of God's creation but not go overboard. Eventually there will be a new heaven and a new earth (Rev. 21:1)
