Love: The Most Abused Word?

Or will I say misused? I have observed that people these days talk about LOVE indiscriminately, but never even knowing its real essence...Like young people saying I love you's to each other but not really meaning it, or a mother who says she loves her kid but go about abusing the kid emotionally and physically; or a son who says he loves his parents, but do not respect them, or a man who says he loves a girl, marries her, but becomes unfaithful midstream...the list could go on and on. This is why I have concluded that love has been abused and misused...what do you think? Do share....

You are right.Love is non selfish.Love is divine.Love is never having to say sorry.Love demands nothing.Love is bliss.
But love is lust,infatuation,a challenge between friends,a fashion,a one night stand and all the wrong things nowadays.

I will have to but agree with your thoughtful and wonderful views. I think in someway you are very right, people do not know the meaning of 'love' and keep on using this word,in the process abusing it. People should see to it that what is the real meaning of love and then use it.

I think the word love is used a lot but I also think there is a few different levels of love, I think there is a difference from love and being in love, I think you can love many as it is a feeling but only IN love with one that is a special feeling, people do love people and do silly things but I don't doubt the love is there they just do not think of their actions at times, some people don't even know the extent of their love until they have lost it, love is a very complicated thing....

Your absolutley correct about that matter.
Love is a word that most of the people like to said but not seriously maybe jsut to please someone they like.
Sometimes most of us really did not know the true meaning of love thats why even they said Love to a one person they dont take it seriously and not coming from their heart but through there tounge only..
