My whole family is that way. If we see something we like or something we like to do we go all out. Ex. all of my sisters and myself like to do scrap booking. Now each of us has a room full of supplies. When we find something new to collect we suddenly find ourselves out searching to try to find everything in that category to collect. Like I like teapots and now have a huge collection of them. ARE you that way or know someone in your family that fits the bill of being obsessive/compulsive?

You are not obsessive/compulsive...you are just a talented crafter. You have an infatuation and it usually has something to do with a wonderful talent and you go all out and collect all of the supplies you will need for about a hundred years...right? Obsessive/complusive is a mental disorder...you are certainly not in that catagory. You have lots of imagination and you need to use it, so you buy all of the articles and supplies that will fulfill your thoughts. You are a very talented woman...I know you.

I have my moments like that, but thankfully not often. My budget couldn't afford it! I do get carried away buying craft stuff sometimes, including scrapbooking supplies. And when I switched to cloth diapers for my son, I went a little overboard buying cutesy WHAM made diapers. But I was able to stop before it got too out of hand.

I'm not but my husband is that way. Sometimes it gets us in trouble financially. Like when he got back into playing golf. Suddenly he was all over ebay looking for new golf clubs. He spent weeks tracking and researching and verifying. Guess o/c can also be considered passionate!

My sister's husband is hooked on ebay. He recently bought a pontoon and hasn't told her yet. Her son spilled the beans so she is waiting to hear it from him! LOL he accidently bid on something thinking it was a fluke and won the bid!
