Do you get nervous if someone compliments you?

"Hey, you look good today. Your hairdo looks great on you." Oh my God! i am blushing. Cheeks turning into carrot-red.
If someone bumbs into you and if he/she compliments you out of the blue on your look/attire/etc. Do you get nervous?Blush or something? Do you thank the person or just give the person your signature 'attitude-smile'?

The other day I was at a big festival with friends and people I just met through those friends. There was this one guy who kept calling me a beautiful lady and such. I don't get nervous or blush (he was totally cute himself) but I just pretty much don't take compliments well and brush it off like it was nothing. I mean, I'll say thanks if it's something that deserves a thanks... but I usually just brush it off like they didn't say anything.

Yeah,some may just compliment to give us a boost. But when they give this after you'd worked hard on your dos(hair),i feel good and my mood gets boosted.
Although most guys compliments women just to woo them.lol. But then its guys duty to compliment them otherwise they will.....lol.

well this guy was definitely your average flirt. But I was just using that as an example.
I've been told by numerous people, strangers even, that I look like Drew Barrymore. I think she's beautiful but that I look nothing like her and things like that make me feel weird and i'm always like whatever.
I used to get Gillian Anderson a lot too, when I had red hair. I definitely didn't see that and guys totally think she's hot so I was always like whaaa? i don't look like her!
I don't know. Even if someone just tells me I did something good i'm like whatev...cause I just don't like compliments.

no compliments are always welcome. i wanted to say they have different affect on me regarding from whom they are coming from. if somebody i like compliments me i will blush. if this happens in public place in front of allot of strangers i will fell unpleasant. and if an enemy compliments me i will wonder why.

There are various kinds of compliments and there are some that we usually blush when somebody compliments on our looks or if the complimenter is a stranger. I am a very shy type of person and i get nervous at small things also and getting compliments really shows on my face.

Compliments should never borrow nervousness in one's mind. I think complement in face to face sometime may be unausual but you need not to be nervous it is true! If you look to good then one can right to express it if you look something wrong then also one neighbour can right to explain that. But all of us remain carefull about much compliment; most of the time it may keeps the power to damage you complimentary right catastrophically.

I don't normally get nervous if someone compliments me. Actually I like to embrace it because it makes me feel good about myself. I get weirded out when a guy compliments me though because most of the time they end up wanting to pursue a relationship when I'm clearly unavailable. It's just annoying.
