I saw a news article yesterday which stated that drinking more than one can of soda a day affects your heart. I don't know if there is something in the soda that can drastically affect the heart but is this really true? Drinking soda is a normal habit for most people. This is like second nature already. I am quite surprised because all along I thought that the real enemies of the heart are the fatty food and the meat. Now, even soda is an enemy, too?

yes, it can affect the heart. that because the high amount of sugar in soda. high amount of sugar can lee to the thickness of blood. the thicker our blood, than makes the artery in heart work harder. if drinking soda become a habit, or someone do it in a long time, the long term effect can led to heart attack.
heart attack can happen because that artery become stiff. normally, our artery should adjust to our condition. when it takes, the artery can dilated. it happens when our heart needs more oxygen because of our activities. but, because it become stiff, the heart's demand of oxygen cannot be fulfill. it will led to heart attack.
