Being partial (partiality) is nothing but inclining towards will and affections.

Inclining towards self, or towards affectionate ones and definitely not inclining towards the truth. What do you think of partiality? It is there in the family, community, local government, national government, even at international levels.

Dear ash123, Partiality you can see anywhere. It is because, as you said, due to affection, friendship etc., It is natural for the human being to think for the betterment of friends, relatives and family members when the opportunity arises, they want to share with them the benefits than that of third party. I was offered first a managerial position as a promotion, but my boss who offered me the managerial position, next week appointed his relative for the post. Subsequently when he found his relative is incapable of handling the managerial position, again I was to take over the managerial position. I never felt bad about it because even if I were him do the same thing.
