Would you say anything?

If you pulled into the WalMart parking lot (or any other parking lot) and saw a person open their car door and throw out an entire bag of fast-food trash, would you say anything to them? What would you do?

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut. It probably depends on the kind of person who did it whether I'd march up to their car or not, you never know the type of person you may be dealing with. I'd definitely have a remark to make though, that would be loud enough to be heard by them, and I'd definitely take down their license number and give it to the police and the manager of the store. If we just ignore it, the problem continues and gets worse. In my state it's illegal to dump trash like that. I had a friend I was riding with one time, and at a stop sign this person opened their door and dumped their overloaded ashtray right onto the pavement. My friend was out of the car quicker than a wink and started hollering at the guy to get out and pick it up, do you think the world is your personal garbage can? (Of course, his mere gigantuan size helped here, lol) So, the guy got out and started picking it up, muttering apologies. Now, I know my friend wouldn't have punched the guy, or anything like that, but I'm quite certain the fellow will probably never dump his ashtray anywhere he feels like it anymore. People think they can get away with this kind of thing because nobody will say anything. It's nice when some people have the guts to stand up for their beliefs. Now if only I could catch those who dump full garbage bags along our highway at night...

I would love to have the guts that your friend had and say something. However, most of the people living here where I live carry weapons and would just as soon shoot you as to look at you! Ha!

I probably wouldn't say anything, but I would probably give them looks that would say enough!! I am always scared of saying something to someone because of the scary people we have in our world!! You never know if they'll pull a knife, or start yelling or what!! I'm a big chicken!

Only if I have the courage for it that day then I will go for it if not I will keep my mouth shut. People litter all the time so that isn't that new at all.

Not this day and time I wouldn't, but I sure would talk about them for a couple of days, LOL. Seriously, I just seen two guys last night get into over who had the gas pump first and one went as far as pulling out a base ball bat! How crazy is that?? So something like garbage I wouldn't say any thing, but I sure would be ticked over it. That is so darn rude.

I really detest littering, however, I would likely not say anything to anyone in a particular manner. I think people learn and change more by way of example than confrontation. (usually) I would probably walk over, pick it up, and place it in a nearby receptacle. Our walmart has placed refuge bins at every cart return, I think it has cut down significantly on the litter in the lot. i think it is exceptionally disgusting when people change their child's disposable diaper and toss it to the ground, for the rain and sun to beat on and vehicles to run over. yuck!

I do not think I would have the nerve to say something, but I have a friend who would. She yells at parents who do not watch their kids, she yelled at a shop lifter to stop. Of coarse it did not stop him. I know she would tell the people to pick up their trash.
