Are the inlaws at it again?

My son came home from kindy today with an agreement slip to be signed so that he can go on outings with the rest of the kindy. They have several places they are going to visit over a few weeks, and one of those places happens to be the police station, where the father in law works. Now for those who don't know, we are not on speaking terms with the in laws, haven't been for twelve months, even less when we found out he was trying to control everyone else to not have contact with us. They are controlling and manipulative and believe the world revolves around them. So, my wife and I decided that our son could go on the visits to the other places, but on that day, he will be staying home. I can't help feeling the father in laws influence in this. What are your thoughts?

We haven't put ourselves in any situation where we have to see or endure the inlaws for quite some time now, and we, as our own family and without their nasty influences, have simply 'bloomed' beautifully! Thank you for your kind words, and you have a Happy Easter too!
