Door Knobs or Handles ??

I don't have any doors. I live in a tree, remember..acorns, nuts..haha.. We have knobs. We just put in new ones and my Akita has put his teeth prints in them already...

OMG! Cats know how to operate handles to open the doors....sounds very interesting and funny to me...and it is a new thing to me. I think I would prefer handles, provided....cats in my area or in my house...do not come and disturb me.....with their pranks and tricks of opening handles....LOL! Very Interesting Discussion!

I had to think for a while, but we have knobs on the doors, but the kitchen cupboards have handles. We never close our doors, except for the toilet, and on the very few days of colder weather, the shower. We have open living, concentrating on keeping plenty of fresh air and as much breeze as possible. I prefer knobs.

We have door knobs, on all the doors. You have clever cats,, just like one of mine. She tries to open the door with the door knob. She jumps up on the window sill, & rwaches out & tries to open it. I don't care which type of door knobs or handles I have on my doors.

All my inner doors have handles and shutting the furry ones out only happens when I'm in the office. The handles are high and cannot be reached. But the front and back security/gauze doors have a handle on the inside and a knob on the outside. Lucy can let herself out (and does!!!!) but she can't get back in.

I prefer door knobs, it is better because it has a lock with it unlike handles that doesn't provide solid security.. Those cat of yours are actually smart, they are just like my dogs that would try anything to reach in to the handles of my gate to open it.. I can't do anything but put them in a cage, in that way they won't get away so easily..(=

I have door knobs, and I like them best. They are easy to turn, as handles snap back.

why put yourself into trouble just because of the cats ... i guess you should lock the dors if the cat has learnt to open them but i guess you shouldn't have changed the handles to knobs ... handles are always better

I have a combination honey - handles downstairs and knobs upstairs! I do prefer handles but unfortunately Niamh loves to swing on them which has resulted in all of them being broken - they are on the other halfs to do list!xxx

I have both knobs and handles, Calais. I had never thought about a preference, but I am more used to having knobs. The handles are easier to open though.
