as per my discussion of early 4th March, and my Poem, The Blood Moon, I have found some footage in YouTube which I'd like you to see. I chose the Irish one over English submissions, because he captured better the blood colour of the Moon, where others failed to... it's not perfect, but it ain't bad! Watch and enjoy! You'll understand then, why I wouldn't have missed this for the World, and why I wrote the poem about it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COov3zgO2DI

I'll say it was red...I've never seen the moon that color before, so thanks ever for sharing this and it was amazing though how at the end when the eclipse was starting to come out of its phase how that one part of the moon looked as brilliant as the sun

In ancient times, they named it the Blood Moon, for obvious reasons. Of course, they didn't understand why it had turned red. Parts of the eclipse were missed out in fact. It was blood red whilst in the full shade of the Earth, but whilst in the outer circle of shade, it was amber; then just before it emerged and the shadow peeled back, it turned to a golden yellow. I tell you, Pye, that is the most amazing sight I have ever, ever, encountered. There should be one about every six years, so if you remember that, you may get to see it "live", because the colours weren't really captured to their best on any of the videos. Hmmmmmm, perhaps you'll be living here by then, and I'll be showing you around. We could view it from Stonehenge!!! lolol. Brightest Blessings, my friend. x

The Moon is somehow different from hilltops. It seems closer and bigger and you can see the surface of it much better. Truly a magickal sight when casting the shadows of the Stones. Have I tempted you yet? lolol

I really appreciate that link to let me see an eclipse in progress as I have not seen one before now. It has to be great to have so many people on the world wide web bring us some many wonders to our computer screen. The time and effort is surely rewarded by the amount of us that have been able to see it.

Yes, it's good of them to share their videos with us. My camera was nowhere near strong enough to snap the Moon whilst it was dark, and coloured. It looked like the pictures you see of planets... really cool, and the changes of colour were magnificent, even if slow. I stood in awe of it, because I've never before seen anything as striking as that! Nature is the most amazing and beautiful gift we've been given, and the Moon is the most mystical part of nature. It can be different colours, from silver to yellow, to gold... sometimes you can see the lakes clearly on its surface, sometimes it will have a gold, silver or even purplish misty ring around it, and I spend a lot of my time gazing at the Moon. I have my reasons for that, but that's a different story. :) Thank you for your input... Brightest Blessings, love and hugs.

Wow, that was awesome. They did capture the color beautifully. I can see why you were inspired to write a poem about it. I try to catch any and every eclipse I can, it's so phenomenal. Thanks for posting this Darkwing.

I wish I'd had the right type of camera to do it myself. Mine wasn't strong enough and I didn't dream of taking the VCR out there. Have you seen my poem?

I'm trying to alter my website in my profile. You're the second person who's told me this and I tested it. However, I'm having trouble reaching my profile details to alter it. lol. Thanks for telling me though. Have a great day!

Yes, I love it too and have never experienced such a magickal moment as when the moon turned to blood red and then went gradually through amber to yellow before the colour started peeling back. I just had to show those who missed it, because I wouldn't have missed it for the World. Brightest Blessings, love and hugs, my dear friend. xxx
