How do you get car grease off a white shirt?

The other day my spouse went outside to start our car, and when it didn't work, he did the usual thing of checking under the hood. Unfortunately, at the time he was wearing a clean white business shirt and some of the grease from the engine area got onto his clothing. Now I am finding it almost impossible to get the grease stain out. I have thought about using dish detergent, but I'm worried that some of the color pigment in the detergent will stain the white shirt. Now, I'm kind of out of options.
Does anyone have suggestions on how I could clean a bad grease stain off from a white cotton shirt? Do you think that dish detergent would stain the fabric? What type of products do you use on grease stains? I've thought about buying Orange Glo (or a similar Orange based product) to clean the stain. The advertisements on TV are always bragging about Orange Glo's grease cutting power, but I am not sure if the product is designed for use on clothing. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Have you ever used Grease Lightning? I'm answering this directly from my e-mail, so I don't know if anyone has suggested this or not. It gets grease, blood, tea, coffee, and ink stains out of fabrics like clothing, AND carpet. It really works. It says it won't get anything out of jeans, but I tried, and they even get stains out of that.
