Poison Ivy

My son has a bad case of poison ivy. He was doing a service project with a church group, clearing weeds on a trail at a local park. We have been using over the counter products, Zanfel and Ivarest, but it is not clearing up. I have an appointment for him with the doctor later this morning. Some friends at the same project have already been to the doctor and gotten steroid shots. Have you ever had poison ivy so bad that you needed to go to the doctor? Have you had a shot? Did it help?

Oh gosh. How strange that no-one was able to advise you here. I do hope that in the meantime your son's manage to treat his problem and it all cleared up.
I have never had problems with weeds or plants causing me any problems so far but I do usually wear gloves and maybe they have saved me from any trouble.
