MEET NITRO!! Our Newest Addition!!! Isnt He Cute??!!

Hello all! I would like to show you all our newest addition to the family. He is a 2 yr old Ferret. He wasnt fed good by the people who had him..they gave him dog food. He is very skinny and you can see all his bones.:( Its sad. He is a very nice guy though. I went and bought him good Ferret food and Im going to get him some vitamins.
He is a Brown and Black Sable and looks kinda like a racoon. His name was smokey but we decided we wanted to change it. What do you think about Nitro?? A little background..My husband is a car freak and our pets are named after car things. We have a Piston, had Lug Nut{he died}, and Torque the turtle went to a friends house. So Nitro would fit right in. What do you think??
Anyway I am going to Fatten him right up and make him healthy. We found out last night he likes Pie!! LOL my husband had a piece and the Ferret was right there eating it. LOL He took a piece of the crust and High tailed it for under the bed! Hes stashing it for later!

He is so adorable! And I love the name you picked for him. It just seems to fit him perfectly. It sounds like he desperately needed to be in a good loving home. And I think he's found one. That is too funny about the pie! I have a cat, LittleBit, that likes sweet stuff like that too. It's a bite for me, a bite for her. It's hilarious. Congratulations on your new baby.

Awww sounds cute and littlebit is a very cute name!! Ya Nitro seems to be the right name!! He has learned to open his door on his cage now. He gets on it, hangs on to the top bar with his teeth, and pushes the door open!!! Its really quite funny to watch!! LOL

He's such a cutey. It's so nice that you took him in. It's such a shame that the first 2 years of his life, was being unhealthy. But now that you have him, he can be happy and healthy, like he should be. I'd like to see him in a couple of months, all fattened up and healthy. Take care.

Thanx he is a cute one! Lokks like a little racoon. He deffinatly seems happy here. Hes eating very well for me! I will deffinatly post pics of him in a few months to show how fat he will be!! Heres a pic of him sleeping on my lap on the way to his new home. Have a good one!

Nitro is such a cute name for a cute pet like that... I've never had a ferret before so I don't even know what they act like around people or anything like that.. Maybe one day though once I know about them I might get one.. Right now though I think I have enough pets with 5 cats and 2 dogs...

Thats quite a few animals. I have a dog, lizard, ferret, 60 fish, and a hermit crab. Id have a whole bunch more if I had a bigger place. Ferrets are friendly with animals and people. They like to play with other animals and they do make good pets. They love to explore everything and get into everything they can fit in!! Mine fits under my bedroom door which is only 3 inches!! They are also easy to care for. And they are Litter trained like a cat!

Well thanx!! I thought Nitro was a cool name. He is very lucky tto have us. I dont know how much longer he would have lived if we wouldnt have taken him.

Yes they are very good pets so long as your treat them right. Ferrets like other animals like cats and dogs. Your cats would get used to one after a while. Plus if the cat tries to eat the ferret he will defend himself. Once they know eachother things are fine. They are also easy to care for. But do need exercise out of the cage everyday. I let mine out 4 times a day for an hour each time. Also ferrets are litter trined and would use the cat box!!

Your Welcome! He seems to enjoy it here and I got him vitamins and he drinks them. He east a whole bowl of food a day too.

AWWW well thanx!! He is a very lovable guy. I fell for him the min I saw Him. There was no second thought about it. I said I want him and Brought Him home. I will post more when he gets all fattened up!!!

He is sooooo cute. I love the name. I hope you can get him fattened up some. My neighbor feeds his kitten junk. He doesn't even buy cat food. Poor thing.
