did the doctor gave you any prescription of pain relievers? maybe you should stay away from hot stuffs first because it might irritate it.

I myself have never had one pulled or cut out, but I know others in my family who have and it took anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. My brother law took 4 days my sister 3 weeks she got infection in it. my niece a week she had her wisdom teeth pulled all at once. I think it all depends on the individual really and how well their bodies deal with those sorts of things. everyone is different and heals different. And being a diabetic also means longer healing times. And also what types of food a person tries to eat shortly afterwards I think soft foods are best. I had to use my food processor to basically puree tuna,onions and salad dressing so my brother in law could eat. I was making that stuff atleast twice a day or more for 4 days. Don't know how he could stand eating it afterwards for awhile. Well, I hope your jaw gets better and stops bothering you as much.

Thankfully I've never had to have one cut out but my brothers girlfriend did and it was a week or two before she was back to, what she considers, normal. :) AT PEACE WITHIN
