One of my friends is trying to find an album that her mother played every Christmas. She says that it was during the sixties. The only words that she remembers on the album is Firestone.
She said that there were about eight people(men and women) on the cover. She says something about a snap shop picture. I helped her search for hours last night. We found some albums with red bows on the front by firestone, but she said that these are not it.
They also mentioned Julie Andrews as a singer, but my friend says that Julie Andrews was no where on the album. I realize that this is a stab in the dark and most people will not know what in the world I am speaking of, but she really wants to hear this album again real bad, so I am trying to help her locate it. Any information that you can remember will be very helpful. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I am starting to give up. I have told my friend to call her sister and ask her about the album, but she has not done that. She claims that her sister has a much better memory than she. But that she is two years younger. Unitl she calls her sister, I am done looking.

I think I found the one you need. It's Volume 4 apparently...according to finderskeepersvarietystore dot com. They have a number you can call to order. The web price is $1.00 - sounds like a steal! The number is 1-866-484-0772. I don't think you can order by phone, so you will have to visit the website to place the order. There is a picture of the album there and it mentions Julie Andrews and some other artists. If you go to the main site and do a search for Firestone volume 4, you will find it. This was not as hard as I thought it would be to find! :)

This is so sweet of you. But she says that Julie Andrews is not on the album. This is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Thank you so much for your help and if you come up with anything else, please let me know. I will check out all the information that you shared.

Wow! This is so freaky, I am pretty sure I have that album...! You know...I was about to log off this site, close the window, when I said...well let me try to add at least one more response, and then I saw your post....and I was about to say, I think there may be more than one of these albums...but then you mentioned Julie Andrews...and she is the reason I picked up the album so long ago at one of those Friends of Library sales! I will locate the record and type in the info on the cover for you. If you cannot locate it, I could try to put it on a cd for you...my neighbour does this sort of thing. I'll try and post the details as soon as I find the album.

If I am remembering correctly Firestone put out a christmas album every year. My parents use to have several. I think Julie Andrews may have done one or two. Bing Crosby did some also. Good luck in your search.

Thank you very much for the information. This is the first I have heard about Bing Crosby being a part of it. It is so funny because a psychiatrist told me once that a lot of Jewish people made Christmas music, even though they do not believe in Jesus. He said that Bing Crosby was one of those.

Volumes 1 - 7 of the Firestone Christmas LPs came out in the 1960's. However, Firestone continued to release Christmas LPs into the 1970's that had individual photos of about 12 different artists, and the LPs had different titles & covers each year. You can find these quite often on ebay.
