Me and my neighbor are wondering what these colorful little pellets are that are around my grass. If anyone could tell me, I would love to know what they are. Are they eggs or some kind of seeds or food? Maybe they came from the trees above but have not seen these things before and only since I planted the grass in my backyard. Hoping that are some gardening experts out there or wildlife experts.

On my screen they sure look like eggs to me. I'd be keeping an eye on them to see if there's anything guarding them as if they were eggs. Are they hard ? Did you try to pick one up? Guess if one gets broke you'll know. My guess would be eggs.

They seem to actually be berries as we were looking at the trees in the woods and they are on the tree branches. Not sure what type of berries they are but that is apparently what they are and not eggs. I was thinking eggs too til we noticed the tree branches had them on them. The birds and squirrels must be knocking them down.

Ken, are there any bushes or trees near you or in your neighbors yards?

Is it precious stones?. But it is green, hard to say because intangible for me, just view at the picture. That is only my guess, precious stone.
