Upgrading account - Deal Barbie Pays

Deal Barbie Pays has an option to upgrade your account for a life time. This is primarily to get referrals assigned to you. Has anyone done this? I have been very lucky, 1 of the 2 referrals I picked up from MyLot is doing well on the site. However, I am finding it hard to build a good downline. What she charges is not much compared to how much you could make off of referrals. Has anyone done this had had it work well for them?
