i'm glad my mom loves john steinbeck! i came across 'of mice and men' among my mom's collection in our old bookshelf. it was an old worn-out book but it was one of the great reads i've had so far. i couldn't help but cry at the end. you should try other john steinbeck novels i enjoy, such as 'the grapes of wrath' and 'the pearl'. they're equally unforgettable...
