i always try to collect keepsakes from friends and family or from a place where i've been to. it's always nice to have a keepsake even in the form of photos, but the most important keepsake that i won't ever trade is the friendship and love that has been given to me by my friends and family. i will always cherish that in my heart forever and no one can take that away from me ever! Do you have keepsakes from friends and family? what are they?

Hmm... well I love keeping things that will remind me of the people in my life or an event I loved - or even hated sometimes. The things that I love most are my photos. I have so many pictures of different occurances and people and I keep them all in a scrapbook that I make. It's great to be able to caption pictures with what happened or what you were thinking at the time. Plus, you have the ability to show others what was important to you.

I love keeping things as reminders of things I've done.

You're right about keepsakes, but mine seem limited in number now that I think about it. I do have photos and scrapbooks, but I think the only other keepsakes I have are a masculine watch, and later a bold pocketwatch with compass (for the explorer/scientist in me or so my parents claim :)). There was also a silver pendant a childhood friend and I share (halves to a whole). I've given keepsakes as well. A self-stitched golden and orange bracelet for that childhood friend. A wooden elephant and a ceramic elephant for granny (she collects them). A bold metallic watch for my dad (he lost it though
