MyLot for a Soap-Box?

I was wondering, how many MyLotters like to use MyLot to air their soapboxes? The definition of getting on one's 'soapbox is: If someone on their soapbox, they hold forth (talk a lot) about a subject they feel strongly about. The soapbox subject can be anything, abortion, too much homework given to children, the decline of American values, perhaps the fattening of America. Tell me, have you ever used MyLot as your soapbox? If so, what was your subject? I'm curious to know.

There is a lot of posting required on mylot, so i think maximum discussions come from the soapbox.I have also tried, many such topics like,do you fast? or which fragrance do you like the most? or which acessories do you wear daily, though these discussions have nothing to do with the serious subjects, but I enjoy them equally, such discussions help you know your friends and their day to day life.

All discussions have value. Some can cause tempers to flair, some are just fun. All make MyLot go around :)

The closest I have got to the soapbox is when I vented about something I saw on t.v. that made me angry. But most times I am responding to the other MyLotter's issues.

That is very positive, as many MyLotters need friends.

I used MyLot as a soapbox when I became aware that scientists have formulated a way to let two women make a baby using something from bone marrow. I felt it was wasteful for them to do that, and wanted to get others opinions on it. This is a good way to get stuff like that if you know where to post your threads.

That was a controversy.

I haven't seen too many people use MyLot to air out their soapbox, but, then again, I joined only a few hours ago. I haven't done so yet, but if I do it may be about education and how it needs more funding and more uniform standards.

I think there needs to be more tailoring to each child's needs because one size does not fit all. They fit so many children in one room, and the standardized testing...children are being left behind.
