Triangles, a mystery

Triangles - Different kinds of triangles

I have always been fascinated why triangles are very important or why mathematicians spent a lot of time studying this shape... i personally call it "The Mystery that is the Triangle" It may sound lame to some but for others, their world revolve around it.... i wonder why?

I like geometry, too, but sometimes I do feel geometrically challenged. For example, I was trying to figure this out: http://www.wikihow.com/Fold-a-Note-Into-a-Secret-Triangle Do you understand how to do that trick?

I like geometry too but for me, it is a lot more difficult than trigonometry because there is a need to use a lot of reasoning... etc...
