What is this cat up to?

First look at the picture and tell me if this cat is... 1) A bird watcher? 2) A bird protector? 3) Just a place to sleep?Or is it simply a case of... I think I saw a pussycat...I did... I did see a pussycat.

Sleeping, silly. hehe. Though he's probably hoping an unsuspecting bird decides to land there, so he has breakfast in bed. Or maybe he thinks he knows how to fly... and thinks he's a bird.
