U. S. Open Women's Seedings

First a comment, I went looking for just a simple list of the women's seedings at the open and not even the Open's own site had it. They had the draws but one would have to look through the whole chart and hunt out the seedings. The closest thing I found on a Google search was in an article by a guy at Sports Illustrated, but his list had a big paragraph about each player as it went down the list. While his views were interesting, I just wanted a simple list. Anyway culling the list from his, here it is(and mylot probably won't let it stand as a vertical list anyway): 1. Justine Henin 2. Maria Sharapova 3. Jelena Jankovic 4. Svetlana Kuznetsova 5. Ana Ivanovic 6. Anna Chakvetadze 7. Nadia Petrova 8. Serena Williams 9. Daniela Hantuchova 10. Marion Bartoli 11. Patty Schnyder 12. Venus Williams 13. Nicole Vaidisova 14. Elena Dementieva 15. Dinara Safina 16. Martina Hingis The main two I care about are Ana Ivanovic and Martina Hingis. Ivanovic would have to face four tough opponents including Venus Williams and Jelena Jankovic just to reach the semis since she is in the really tough top half of the draw. Hingis has had a very poor year mainly due to back and hip injuries which keep causing her problems(as anyone knows who has had such injuries, they just don't heal quickly). Almost anyone can be a tough opponent for her on any given day. She would have to face Daniela Hantuchova as her first seeded opponet I think. It is unfortunate she is injured on this the 10th anniversary of her U.S. Open title. So those are the main two I am cheering for and look forward to watching if they show their matches.
