Oh, I'm an introvert. I was a shy child, I didn't talk until I had things planned to say. I'd follow my little sister around because she wasn't afraid to talk to anybody & that way I could meet people. I decided I hated myself & had to change, but it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm still working on it.

Hi gwendovere! I think I am more of an introvert than an extrovert. I am a very quiet person. I am not a talker but I am a good listener. I don't like being the center of attention, it makes me uncomfortable. I like quiet moments with myself and with just some people that I love and are close with. I do not really enjoy parties most of the time. I guess, I am like this since I was a child and I do appreciate solitude. But don't get me wrong, because I have been good in dealing with people because I am in sales and marketing and all my prjects have been well recieved. It just so happen that I more of an introvert than an extrovert. So, if my work entails public relations, I really go out of my way to entertain people. Take care and have a nice day!

I am more of an introvert. Introverts tend to be quiet, low-key, deliberate, and relatively non-engaged in social situations. I take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, drawing, watching movies, listening to music. I enjoy time spent alone and find less reward in time spent with large groups of people . TI prefer to concentrate on a single activity at a time and like to observe situations before I participate.

It's strange because when I first read this discussion the first thing that popped into my head was to say introvert. I think of myself as kind of shy, but I'm really not shy or introverted. Hmmm.. I'll have to think about why that was my first reaction. Maybe I'm just tired or something.. LOL.

I am really more introvert than extrovert...of course, depends on who I am with...when I am comfortable with people around me, I tend to talk much and be myself...however, amidst strangers, I'd rather be quiet, observe, and listen, participate, reflect. I love reading books instead of going to parties, so I'm the introvert type...

I'm introverted,i think ,as when i 'm unhapppy,i won't express it to my friends ,only when i feel almost ok,i tell them ,i was unhappy before now. And i like staying alone ,but i will feel lonely when it's on my own. Although i think i'm an introvertor,my friends don;t think so,because i'm extroverted ,when i affiliate with them .This feeling is interesting, right?

In my work as a life coach and group leader part of my training involved assessing what introvert/extrovert means. To many an extrovert is someone who likes to be around people and an introvert is more reserved. However, some schools of thought break it down in a different way. Meyers Briggs is a personality assessment tool that defines an extrovert who re-charges their energy by going out and being around people...whereas an introvert re-news their batteries by doing things on their own. In the Meyers Briggs testing methods I came up as an introvert and really surprised me because all my friends say I am a 'people person.' So in my view I think we are probably a mix of both depending on the circumstances. However, it is true that when I want to re-new my inner resources I do tend to do it in quiet introspective ways. Interesting discussion...will look foward to reading other responses.
