I was looking for a cheap way to take some fabric I had left from upholstering my kitchen chairs to make an inexpensive window treatment. Through Design on A Dime I found that for as little as $35.00 I could have a unique window treatment that would further enhance my kitchen. All you need is a window shade, your fabric, some fabric glue, a pretty trim. No sewing involved. Simple, cheap and a great window in the end.

My oldest grandson - He's sitting in front of curtains that we made to cover the books on the bookshelves so it would make it look less cluttered in the living room. It also gives us a nice background for picture taking for the kids.
Sounds cool! I love that show, Design on a Dime, and I love the ideas I get from the show. We just put up some curtains on the bookshelves in our living room with some spring tension rods. It hides all the books, keeps the two year old out of the books on the shelf and it even looks good. We got that idea from the show, it was quick, easy, and really cheap. Plus, it gives us a place to take pictures of the kids in the living room where the background looks kind of good even. We are thinking of changing out the fabric for the holidays like Halloween, Christmas, for photo opportunites for the kids and cuz it'll be pretty. Have you checked out the Design on a Dime book? I just got it and its great!
